This August, we celebrate 10 Years of Spinkie! As we look back at our 10 years, we can’t help but be amazed at all the Mums who were part of our journey from the Mums who sew spinkie with their hands, the Mums who sell spinkie with their hearts and the Mums who style spinkie in their homes. We are sincerely grateful to all of you.
All the rooms we’ve featured on our Instagram feed in the past years are utterly wonderful and timeless and if you are ever looking for new inspiration for your nursery or room project, have a look at Our Top 10 Magical Spaces styled by Mums. There’s definitely something here for you.
1. @lucyandherlittles
Every little girl dreams of a room that allows her imagination to grow. Lucy created a room full of happy, inspiring elements such as dots, hearts, flowers and butterflies on her wall, an assortment of pompom, cloud and star garlands on her house bed and The Dreamy Canopy with Pom Garland in Light Pink. The pink, beige, and white colorway is a beautiful choice.
2. @love_luxe_interiors
Rooms can transform with the season just like what Emma did for her daughters’ shared room. She chose to work with champagne, white, and green for this room as seen on the matching Dreamy Canopies and beds, the refreshing big peony wall decals, and that adorable shared Christmas tree with trimmings that beautifully mirror all the colors of the room. Her beddings, dolls, and room accents are also carefully chosen to work well with her colorway.
3. @paula_silvagni_interior
Paula created a storybook-inspired space for her daughter starting with the bunk bed that reminds us of The Princess & The Pea. She chose The Dreamy Canopy in Champagne and adorned it with Pom and Star garlands along with a complementary palette of Star Pillows in Charmeuse Silk and Swan Princesses. Don’t you just love the lighting of this room? Strategically placed warm lighting is key for a dreamy atmosphere just like the magical fairy lights on the canopy.
4. @the.pink.dream
A little secret to harmonizing shared spaces is by having unifying color ways. This space by Ceres reflects how you can never go wrong with an all-white atmosphere. Hanging up Dreamy Canopies with Pom Garlands in White, a crystal chandelier and placing a faux fur carpet add that whimsical touch. A neutral wallpaper with peonies allows all these elements to stand out.
5. @pretty.playful.styling
Reading nooks are an essential part of children’s rooms and Candice shows us how to create a magical reading nook with the Dreamy Canopy and Pom Garland in Light Pink. She defines her reading area with a lovely round rug and adds comfortable seating for little readers and listeners. We love her striped wallpaper and peony wall decals that add a beautiful texture and her carefully chosen magical elements such as the dollhouse, cushions and dolls.
6. @little_miss_h_baby_boutique
We admire all the creative ways mums all over the world style our Dreamy Canopy. This is a lovely close up of Michelle’s Dreamy Canopy & Pom Garlands in Light Pink with a touch of butterflies skillfully sewn onto the canopy. It’s exactly what her little daughter wished for in her reading and play area.
7. @ma_house
Martine put together such a relaxing and peaceful nursery for her toddler with these quiet tones of white, grey and beige tones. This color story creates the perfect palette for a gender-neutral space. A Dreamy Canopy in White, silver stars on the wall and a charming piece of artwork add a magical flair to the space. The giraffe she placed beside her child’s clothing rack is also a unique element to have!
8. @cissifio
Cissi styled this adorable pink and grey bedroom for her daughters to share. While they have different beds, she unifies the space by having them in the same white color, hanging matching Princess Canopies in Pink over and placing symmetrically arranged floral decals on the wall. Amelia and Bianca’s initials on the dresser add a lovely personal touch.
9. @yew.photography
Shared spaces don’t always have to have matching elements. Emily wanted a unique area for each of her daughters that still looked complementary to each other. She achieved this by styling each space using different colored Dreamy Canopies. Selecting within the same color family allows these elements to mix well together. A Light Pink canopy for her toddler Georgia, and a more mature Champagne for her daughter Autumn.
10. @forest_house_home_styling
A classic colorway combination that goes well in any room are those with neutral hues of white and grey. Touches of pink add a dainty pop of color. Jurdana elevates this chic bed for her daughter with furry accent pillows, a cozy throw and our adorable Swan Princess in Light Pink. The Dreamy Canopy & Large Sparkle Pom Set in White in the corner of the room create a lovely reading area.
We hope these looks inspire you for your next Magical Space and please do share them with us.
Be Inspired,
