Spaces for Stories

We have been surrounded by beautiful dreamy settings that our mums have created and showcased. It is time for the fathers to shine! After all, Father’s Day is just around the corner. It made me remember my own father and story time with him–one of my favorite bonding activities with him that my children also get to enjoy with my husband.

This week, we were inspired by the wonderful storytelling styles of fathers, through their various animations and expressions that bring characters and tales to life. We wanted to create Spaces for Stories within a bedroom that can stimulate imagination and set the perfect stage for this special bonding experience.

Story time can take place in different places of the room depending on the theme and time of the day. For bedtime and books that help the children wind down, we set up our Dreamy Canopy with Large Sparkle Pom in Champagne over a cloud bed. Adding our Dreamy Bow Cushion too creates a cozy setting to cuddle up in and prepare for sweet dreams.

Another area to stage readings can be in a multifunctional activity section with a table and chairs, especially for active story time where the children can even be part of the tale. Here, we feature our Butterfly Chairs and Clip Table. Our Swan Princesses are also great keepsakes that can be used as characters for fairy tales!

We love to bring a sense of the outdoors in our indoor areas, too. This alternative set up features our Sheer Teepee with Mini Pom Garlands Set in Nude. It’s perfect for naptime stories, and themes that can make children feel like they are part of woodland tales. Our Charmeuse Silk Star Pillows are the perfect cushions for this corner, and Lala Llamas are adorable toys to play roles in the stories.

Creating spaces for these times together for children and their fathers make these moments much more special. We love seeing these happen in real life settings, such as in the homes of @thisloveandchaos and

Enjoy your Father’s Day celebrations!
